The best place we found in Santa Fe. Went every day while we were there. the food was outstanding. The service was exceptional. The ambience is beautifully decorated and very clean and streamline. The pastries were off the charts. Our favorite was the pistachio eclair. We also tried a lemon loaf that had lemons cut up and baked into it. That was just delicious. We had the Madeline's, which were awesome lemon and chocolate ones. I was going up to Taos to visit friends and bought them desserts that they just loved. I love that they make some gluten-free desserts. The place was exceptional.

Super for brunch. Wide array of yummy looking pastries, including clafouti. Service was super despite us being seated near a huge table. Brought us extra delicious bread and butter to tide us over as they felt our wait was too long, when it really wasn't. Sampled three dishes and would recommend them all. Lots more on the menu looked good. Lovely cafe atmosphere...

Fabulous experience. Prior reviews are spot on. Thanks to those who contributed. There are two menus; breakfast and lunch with plenty of choices on both. We found ourselves watching servings come from the kitchen to tables around us. Everything looked delicious. It took a while to decide because every dang offering was very appealing. Wifey went with the De La Maison quiche and side salad. Quiche was fantastic, very tasty with a great crust. Clearly a winner. Clean plate club prevailed. I was intrigued with the French Toast with fruit. Dish came to the table as two thick slices of Texas toast prepared perfectly with fresh fruit between the slices and on top. Strawberries, blackberries, cantaloupe, bananas and a sprig of mint rounded out the presentation. A drizzle of chocolate sauce on the side just tempted you to slide the fruit through it and small cup of warm syrup was just enough to keep your attention not overwhelm. The staff was very attentive to our needs. We checked out the bakery on the way out and it looked incredible. Highly recommend without any reservations. Definitely on my list as a great experience with superb food. Can't miss. Would return in an instant. Oh yah, clean plate club X 2 !

OVERALL Clafoutis is a casual French country-style restaurant with an in-house bakery in Santa Fe, NM. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 5 | Price: 4 PARKING Free plaza lot parking. LOCATION/AMBIANCE If I owned a restaurant, I would have this place's layout. I absolutely loved it. My other favorite part was half open-air dining. Dogs are allowed on the patio! THE GRUB My order was - chef's kiss - delicious! + Iced lavender latte (from the "Drink of the Day" menu) $6.50 + Croque Madame $ LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB I didn't have my kids on this trip back on August 7, 2024, so I don't recall a kid's menu. I'm sure they have one because they family-friendly. SERVICE Quick & friendly. If you're dining in wait at the podium. If you want to order takeout, just head over to the register near the bakery. MY FAVORITE PART... There is nothing else like this that I've found in Santa Fe. Would I go here at least once a month if I lived closer? Oui, s'il vous plaît! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... When my sandwich was eaten. Lol. TIP They let me use their unisex restroom while I waited for takeout. It was clean plus I remember thinking, "Wow baby changing stations are fancy nowadays."

Summary: Food tastes fresh and high quality, some menu items are much better than others. Personally, I would skip the crepes and clafoutis here. Been here 2 different times for breakfast and pastries; it's overall good, with high quality ingredients. That being said, I haven't been universally impressed by the flavors. I normally love crepes but have been underwhelmed by both the sweet and savory crepes here. Most recently I tried the croque madame, a crepe daily special, and the coconut French toast. The croque madame is not bad and was generously portioned but felt like proportionately too much bread (not an issue if you absolutely love bread). I find the buckwheat crepe to be overpowered by the buckwheat flavor without enough coming from the filling. The coconut French toast was the best, and tastes more like a tropical French toast. As for the bread/pastry counter, we had an amazing tart our first time but couldn't remember what it was. We tried one of the clafoutis slices, a category we'd never tried before, and no one was a fan. It's dense and the custard(?) is baked in, so it almost seems more bread-like than tart-like. The country-style tart was a little soggy tasting. I know there's at least one amazing option somewhere in the case, but it wasn't either of those.

Came here for breakfast before heading out on a road trip! Food was great, ordered a Croque madame and an herbs de Provence omelette with lox, with two pistachio lattes. Our waitress Norma was INCREDIBLE. Oh my goodness was she a ray of sunshine. The bakery case was insane -- Everything looked so incredible, we got a meringue and a jam cookie and some macaroons, everything was delicious. It's so cute inside also. Definitely recommend!

First time here. We didn't want to eat a huge breakfast but wanted it healthy. Lots of bakery items I wanted to eat but we didn't. Kept it simple. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was pleasant. I'd eat here again.

My daughter and I took a trip to Santa Fe for the weekend. We drove up and came right here for lunch. A coworker highly recommended Clafoutis. The restaurant decor is French countryside. They were very busy with a constant stream of patrons coming and going. They really pack people in with little space between tables. The servers are all in white shirt black pants, very French. I had the asparagus ham quiche. It came with a side salad with a vinaigrette dressing. The quiche was very good but not hot. The crust was delicious and just melted in your mouth. I only wish it was hot when served. My daughter had the Brie veggie sandwich. It was full of Brie and veggies. It was very good. She also had a cup of onion soup. The soup was very tasty. The sandwich was on a baguette. The baguette was delicious! The meal was affordable as well. The bathroom was very clean. Be aware there are only 2 single serve bathrooms for the restaurant. There was always a line.

Another great lunch! Tried the Croque Madame this time. It was perfect. Toasted bread, creamy bechamel, savory ham and cheese with an over easy egg on top. Delicious! Ample parking, great service, chill cafe vibe, friendly staff. Took some macarons to-go. Love this place!
